Hola Cat pues exactamente no se cual es su nombre, la encontré como postal en infojardin pero no pone nombre ni nada. La verdad es que es preciosa!!! Si alguien sabe que especie es exactamente lo podría compartir con nosotr@s así ya sabemos cual será nuestra próxima adquisición

Common Name Bowring's Cattleya [English Amatuer Orchid Enthusiast 1800's]

Flower Size 3" [7.5 cm]

Belize and Guatemala are the home to this medium to large sized, cool to warm growing lithophyte found at elevations of 210 to 900 meters on rocky cliffs near fast moving streams with a humid atmosphere that has club-shaped pseudobulbs carrying 2 rarely 3, apical, narrowly oblong, leathery, dark green leaves and blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect or nodding, long-stalked, to 10" [to 25 cm] long, few to many flowered inflorescence with 2, basal, compressed spathes that is not long lasting and gives rise to up to 15 flowers. It requires a short winter rest from water and fertilizer after the completion of flowering.

Hola. si no me equivoco es una cattleya skinneri parecida a la cattleya bowringiana. la bowringiana tiene los bulbos mas largos son muy parecidas y es de flores mas pequeñas Chao. v.v.v,.

 

VOY A REVISAR

 

PERO VEO LA cattleya skinneri COMO CON LOS PETALOS MAS REDONDEADOS.....LA MIA ES IDENTICA A LA DE ORCHIDWEB...INCLUSIVE EN EL COLOR....DE TODOS MODOS SIGO BUSCANDO

 

NO SE LA FORMA DE LA FLOR....EL TAMAÑO (LA SKINEER SE VE QUE ES GRANDE)...TENGO DUDAS....

LA FOTO DE ORCHIDSPECIES DE LA BROWGNIANA ES IDENTICA A LA MIA...

Amiga los dendrobium son asiaticos en venezuela no existe esa especie .al parecer ese fue conseguido por el personaje que se lo compraste cuidalo para ver que especies es suerte con el tratamiento que le pusiste Chao. v.v.v.

Pues tu planta no es Cattleya skinneri, ya que la skinneri tiene el final o viendola del otro lado el inicio, del labelo de color blanco-amarillo, cosa que no tiene la tuya..
te muestro una foto de una mi Cattleya skinneri



lo raro es que la cattleya skinneri florea a finales de diciembre a febrero, de ahí su sobrenombre "flor de candelaria" ya que en estas enero o febrero (no me recuerdo) es la fiesta de la Virgen de candelaria.

yo opino que la tuya es una Cattleya bowringiana

Martín aca también le llaman asi a la skinneri "Candelaria". La mía que me identificaste en el otro post, acaba de florecer

La fiesta de La Candelaria" o "Fiesta de las Luces" es el 2 de febrero

 

Aqui le dicen <San Sebastian> por fiestas similares...
